Frequently asked

Who can see my location?

Only the people on your trip you've chosen to share with — everyone on the trip, or just selected people — plus any family observer you've approved. Nobody else, ever. When you go incognito, your phone stops sending coordinates entirely and others simply see "Sharing off." There is no exception to that (Privacy §4.1).

How do I go incognito?

On the Together map, tap your sharing status and choose incognito. It takes effect immediately, for as long as you like. Nothing about your position is sent while it's on, with no exceptions, and the rule is enforced on our servers rather than in the app (Privacy §4.1).

What does a family observer see?

A friend you mark as family can follow the trip you are on, read-only, while it is running: the group on the map and what's planned next. They can't see past trips, trips you haven't started, or anything at all once a trip ends, and they can't edit anything or read private notes. You can remove family status at any time.

Does Kinetiq have an SOS or panic button?

No. Kinetiq has no alarm, no distress signal and no way to contact emergency services, and nothing in the app will ever send your location against a setting you have chosen.

What it does have is your group already knowing where you are and what the plan is, for as long as you are sharing. In an emergency, call your local emergency number first (112 in the EU, 911 in the US).

Do messaging and voice notes work abroad without a SIM?

Yes — messages and voice notes all run over the internet, so any Wi-Fi or data connection works. No roaming plan or phone number needed between group members.

Can I get data abroad through Kinetiq?

Yes. You can buy a travel eSIM in the app for the places your trip covers, and a regional pack works across every country in it. You can also buy packs for the people travelling with you and hand them out from the app.

Your days start when the eSIM first connects, not when you buy it, so buying ahead of the trip costs you nothing. A pack is refundable until it has been activated. Your phone needs to support eSIM and be carrier-unlocked.

Can Remi's AI plans be trusted?

Treat them as a great first draft. Remi plans from your dates, group, weather, and real places — but hours change and places close, so double-check details that matter, like tickets and transport times. Nothing Remi drafts enters the shared plan without your group seeing it.

I deleted a stop by mistake — is it gone?

No. Removed stops are archived, not destroyed — open the day's removed items and restore it with one tap.

Someone cloned my itinerary — can they see my trip?

No. A clone is an independent copy of the places and days only. Your companions, notes, messages, and locations are never included, and their edits don't touch your original.

How do I delete my account?

In the app: Me → Settings → Account → Delete account. Or from the web: see Delete your account & data.

When is Kinetiq coming to iPhone?

Kinetiq is in early access on Android today. iOS is on the roadmap — email us and we'll let you know the moment it's ready.
